Headteacher's Welcome Message
Welcome to Woodlands Park School. We are a vibrant and ambitious school that aims to be at the heart of the community. Our friendly, committed staff take care of our pupils, and our relationships and care for everyone in our community are important to us.
Personal success is what we strive for daily, and we want pupils to find the joy in their own successes, whether that is academic success or success in other areas. The outdoors is central to our core beliefs for what our pupils need, and we have exceptional outdoor facilities, which include a forest school, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and large playing fields with an all–weather track. We do all we can to support healthy minds and healthy bodies for all of our pupils.
Experiences and learning out of the classroom are a priority for us, and we have a variety of trips and activities that the children take part in to widen their opportunities. Learning and igniting interests and passions for subjects across the curriculum is central to our approach.
We have a 26-place Nursery that offers both part-time (“15-hour offer”) and full-time (“30-hour offer”) provision. The children in our Nursery and Reception benefit from highly skilled staff, excellent indoor and outdoor areas, and a nurturing environment.
As a new Headteacher at Woodlands Park, I am excited to continue the journey of development here and to support the pupils to become the best they can be. We want joyful moments for the pupils at Woodlands Park, and the sound of laughter around us is an important part of our day.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information. School tours and open mornings/evenings are available.
