the children used their 'super senses' just like moles, foxes, badgers and sparrowhawks do to explore the world of creatures that live in our surrounding area. They were able to feel what the coat of a fox feels like, see how tiny a mole really is, touch the powerful claws of a badger and notice the patterns on the feathers of a sparrowhawk. The children were also able to be 'moles' moving around a tunnel system using the sense of touch. Most of the group were 'mice' trying to collect their dinner without being heard by the two 'foxes'. All the children had a go at being badgers creating super smelly cocktails. The children also had the opportunity to hold beetle larvae. What an exciting day!
